The show will exhibit large scale mixed media drawings on paper of judo throws. The idea behind the series is to bring forward the power, grace and purity of the judo. The series focuses on the extraordinary moments in judo, the amazing and phenomenal throws, just when the opponent loses his/her footing and then both bodies are in irreversible path towards the ground. That particular moment when the weight of two figures might rest on only three toes, a foot or is very briefly suspended in mid air, between nowhere and the inevitable drop, when uke already knows he/she has lost; that moment is only appreciated if one is involved in the fight, which is the moment that the series is depicting.
