To facilitate art education and skills development for the children, youth through formal art instructions arranging workshops, seminars, discussions, and focus groups through our professional art classes. Our professional art instructions are offered semester-wise for three semesters every year in the artistic disciplines of drawing, oil painting, watercolor painting, acrylic painting, crafts, pottery and sculpture.
There are a few ways that you can register in our art programs. You can register by phone, email or download our form, fill it and send it to us.
Our services are available to anyone interested in art at on affordable cost of $120 per semester. However, cost is not the barrier to get art lessons.
In June 2000, an Immigrant Community Advisory Group organized by immigrant artists, developed a document entitled “Cultural integration of immigrant community and immigrant professionals in the diverse Hamilton – Wentworth community”. The aim of the study was to assess the capacities of immigrant artistic community. They made a study and found that an organization is needed to serve the newcomer artists, cultural workers, and the children and youth of newcomers to provide them art education and mentorship.
ICAA was registered as a not for profit organization on 26 February 2002.
ICAA Board of Directors – the Governing Body is the owner of the Immigrant Culture and Art Association on behalf of the community.
