ICAA Volunteer Program

Volunteers bring needed skills, specialized knowledge such as events management, office management, advertising, marketing, assisting teachers at ICAA Art School and summer camp, etc as needed by ICAA They bring renewed energy and excitement. They bring a fresh perspective and enthusiasm to ICAA that help move the association with innovation and in exciting new directions.  They increase community ownership and gain community support and sustainability for ICAA programs. Using the experiences of our volunteers, ICAA is achieving the association’s objectives and goals and what the community wants.

 A number of ICAA Professional Art School senior students, their parents and community leaders are volunteering in ICAA programs to provide better, safe, secure, well-managed art instructions, courses and special events management. A number of volunteers are helping us in the office, at exhibitions, and musical concerts as well. We have developed policies and procedures to accommodate, train and provide more volunteer opportunities to immigrant and low-income artists so that they can get vital experiences to establish themselves and their families. ICAA has hired the services of a volunteer assistant on a part-time basis to further develop the Volunteer Management Program with support from management, staff, and board.  Most of the staff and teachers are volunteering some of their time in schools, meetings, and special events.
